What I do when I’m not travelling (aka occupation): I lead the PR department at a tech start-up. I also moonlight as a travel writer in my “spare” time, and pen a blog called This Way North.
My next stop: Coachella! I’ve never been so looking forward to some festival fun.
My wildest and craziest adventure was: I’m not sure if it’s wild but I’d have to say my first solo trip abroad to Spain was crazy because I initially thought I had lost my mind.
Weirdest thing I’ve ever eaten or drank: Conch, an edible snail and staple dish in the Bahamas. There you can find it cooked all kinds of ways: conch fritters, conch salad, etc. It’s definitely an acquired taste for me for sure.
I’ll never forget that time: I carpooled to Amsterdam with a total stranger and then couch surfed once I reached Amsterdam with two other total strangers. Good times.
Most memorable meal: Eating dinner with all of the international media on my first press trip during our last night in Dublin. It was so fun connecting with people from all walks of life and countries. I met people from Canada, Brazil, Norway, Brussels, London, Madrid and Germany. Absolutely amazing.
One thing on my bucket list is: To live abroad for a year before I get married and have kids.
Three things I always pack: My camera, a journal and extra socks.
My travel advice: Always stay open to going with the flow, speaking to the locals and going off the beaten path. That’s when you really experience the essence of traveling.
