What I do when I’m not travelling (aka occupation): Fashion & lifestyle blogger.
My next stop: Mexico
My wildest and craziest adventure was: My recent trip to Japan with Contiki. Experiencing so many aspects of Japanese culture was an adventure and privilege I will never forget. Japan has been able to merge tradition with the modern world very well. They have a high level of respect for their cities, each other as well as visitors, I felt very welcomed into their culture.
I’ll never forget that time: I travelled through Europe with two best friends for three months. We started our trip in Munich, travelling through France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands and ending it in Berlin. We fell in love with Berlin and decided to stay a whole month there, instantly feeling like a local. Experiencing that August in Berlin was life changing for me. As soon as I left the city, I knew I had some unfinished business there. Shortly after that I moved back to Berlin and have been there for the past two years.
Most memorable meal: A mix of shared plates at Taberna da Rua das Flores in Lisbon. In Portugal, family style is usually the preference when dining, comprised of smaller plates that are shared amongst the table. The highlight of the meal was the seasame-crusted tuna.
One thing on my bucket list is: Morocco has been on my to-go list for the past 2 years. I’ve heard amazing things about their markets and would love the chance to wander them aimlessly, getting lost in spices, fabrics and jewellery.
Three things I always pack: Camera, sneakers, homemade granola bars.
My travel advice: Don’t always look at a map. Getting lost can propel you towards the most unexpected moments and be the most fulfilling travel experience.
