Hey EDT! This is definitely going to be a stellar event!
My favourite cocktails right now are made with shrubs – vinegar-based syrups that hail from the 18th century. They give the perfect balance of sweet and tart and I can think of no better Spring/Summer drink. Borealia in Toronto does a couple of memorable creations: the Grapefruit Shrub Spritz topped with Cava and the Lemon Sage Ice Tea which delivers a sublime fresh sage flavour. Both irresistibly refreshing.
I’d love to wet my whistle with Canada’s latest creations!
The Gulab (from Byblos in Toronto): lemonade with rosewater, vodka infused with dried, edible rose, pomegranate reduction, cardamom and fresh lemon.
Simply delicious!
Manhattan!
I love a good “Dark and stormy”. Lots of lime and strong ginger.
I tried a smoked Manhattan recently. It’s my new favourite.
Sounds like a very fun event! I’ve always liked my Whiskey Sour.
I like white russians
Seven and seven
My favourite cocktail has to be the mojito… such a delicate balance between the flavours to serve up the ultimate refreshing beverage!!
Someone already mentioned dark and stormy so I will have to pick another but it is hard to beat that refreshing, satisfying mix of sweet rum and spicy ginger beer.
I like anything with a good bit of citrus – whether it’s tart limes or sweet orange peel and a bourbon base. An Old Fashioned it is then, especially with Toschi cherries. Mmm.
My fave cocktail is a creamsicle!!
